What Are Science Weapons

Science Weapons are unique weapons that have been hidden across Halcyon. These weapons perform crazy effects such as mind controlling enemies and even shrinking them.

In total there are 5 Science Weapons to collect, but before you can obtain them you must first purchase several items from Vendors to unlock clues that detail the whereabouts of these weapons.

To start the process of finding the weapons, you must first begin the Weapons From the Void Quest which is only unlocked after completing the main quest, A Stranger in a Strange Land.

To obtain this quest, simply search through the different logs that are available on the terminal inside the Captain's quarters on the second floor of your ship.

The Prismatic Hammer

In order to find the Prismatic Hammer, make your way to the Groundbreaker and speak with Gladys. Trade with her and purchase the Battered Mardet Datapad.

Following the quest marker, head to the room on the left that is past the Customs Checkpoint, but just slightly before you go through the door that leads to the Groundbreaker Promenade.

In this room, you will find several bunk beds. Just before these bunk beds, you will find two crates stacked on top of one another. Use these crates to climb on top of the bunks to reach the small air vent that you need to crouch through.

Eventually, you will reach the Repair Hangar, which is full of Outlaws - take them out.

Search the bodies of the Outlaws until you find the Repair Hangar Keycard that is used to open the door towards the right wall.

Once you have opened the door, you will find the Prismatic Hammer on top of the table.

The Mandibular Rearranger

To obtain the Mandibular Rearranger, you will firstly need to make your way to Gladys on the Groundbreaker. Trade with her and purchase the Hephaestus Mining - Archive Cartridge.

In order to get your clue, access the cartridge via the terminal in your ships quarters. Now that you have unlocked the clue, start heading to Scylla.

Once you have arrived, follow the quest marker until you reach a small building in the Northern corner of the map. Inside this building, you will find a blue / green box the ground that contains the Mandibular Rearranger.

The Shrink Ray

In order to claim the Shrink Ray, players must have first gained access to the Navkey that allows your ship to travel freely throughout the different locations in Halcyon.

Assuming that you have already unlocked the Navkey, use your ship to fast travel to Phineas Welles' lab. Upon arriving, following the onscreen marker until you reach Phineas, who is locked inside a large glass room.

Before speaking to him, search the table directly towards the right to find the Shrink Ray gun.

The Mine Control Ray

To find the Mind Control Ray, travel to Monarch and make your way to Duncan's Dry Goods and Supplies store.

Trade with him and purchase the SubLight datapad.

Follow the on-screen marker and make you way to the abandoned Rizzo's factory that can be found in Cascadia.

Inside the factory, go to the final room and search for a door that provides access to an elevator shaft. Jump across the platforms and climb up the large ladder to find the Mind Control Ray inside a green container on the ground.

The Gloop Gun

The Gloop Gun can be found during the side mission, Errors Unseen, which requires players to travel to a UDL Lab in the Southwest area of Stella Bay.

Following the onscreen marker, take out any Marauders that block your path along the way. Once you reach the UDL Lab, head inside and look for the terminal that can be found in the Lab's main room.

Use the terminal to unlock the Gloop Gun by either Hacking the system (55 Hacking) or answering three rather simple questions.

The correct answers for the security questions are as follows:

  • Protect the Chairman.
  • Berate him relentlessly to defend the Chairman's honor.
  • Arrest your spouse and admit your children to a reeducation program.

Once the questions have been answered correctly, the Gloop Gun will be unlocked from the nearby chamber.
