This might be an agree to disagree situation guys.

This argument seems to be going in circles.

I mean, Orion's argument that OOT Ganondorf survived getting stabbed by the Master Sword and had to be sealed away does still track.

Tho I do think if he was stabbed with the TOTK Master Sword endgame, then he's dead.

Granted, the series is pretty inconsistent if the Master Sword can kill a triforce powered Ganon or not since ALLTP Ganon had the entire thing, and Yuganon explicitly had two pieces bonded to him and he still died.

where does it state that master sword is restored?

The Deku Tree says it in Memory #1, when Link and Zelda come to retrieve the sword.

When you said that the Master Sword only broke because it's supposed to be weaker than normal at the beginning I thought "Huh, if that were a real plot point it would have been mentioned, ever." Like I can imagine, in an alternate version of the game where the sword being weaker was a real plot point, Zelda might have warned Link, like "We must be careful, your sword is not at its full power." to subtly foreshadow it. Or at the very least the Deku Tree might have said something, in the cutscene you can only see long after the sword has already broken, he could have warned Link that the sword had not had long enough to rest and was at risk of breaking if pushed too hard.

So, I knew that wasn't what he said, but that did make me curious enough to check what exactly he did say. What he said was: "Your blade has been fully restored. Go on then, Link. Draw it once more."

It's the line "Your blade has been fully restored." that sticks out to me as implying that Link's blade has been fully restored. The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (contains spoilers) (4)

Frankly it would have been weird if it was supposed to be in a thoroughly weakened state because, absent of any information of how fast it heals, it has to be at minimum in a better state than it was at the end of BOTW. And how much it was actually used in Breath of the Wild varies from player to player. Not only is collecting the sword optional, but you can get the true ending by collecting it and never actually using it. There are probably players who even in a normal playthrough didn't use it against any enemy before Calamity Ganon. And even if you assume canonically Link did use it on many occasions Zelda talks about the sword in the true ending cutscene and there is no vibe of "Oh the sword is so worn down it needs to rest immediately lest it shatter against the next strong foe you face".

But we do have information about how fast it heals in the form of the confirmation that it was fully restored by the time Link drew it before he and Zelda ventured under Hyrule Castle, so the above paragraph is irrelevant (except perhaps as reasoning for why it didn't need another 100 years to be fully restored).

So I completed the Water Temple, or rather the Water ME Hple. It was a tad boring. And the boss. How did I go from badass ice dragon Demon to Sponge Bob Square Pants? Even the final hit was a tiny tap. I took the picture where it was Sidon stabbing it as it pathetically fell face first onto the ground. I took another picture of it standing up because good God man, have some dignity.

Also also, Sidon stop running away from me when I'm trying to activate your Water power to wash away the gunk holy crap!

After the cutscene, it ended up raining in the Domain, which I thought was appropriate.

Unfortunately, most of the Sages have that issue. You can whistle to call them to gather around you, but it doesn't super fix the problem.

It is a shame and so stupid how you can't get the full Zora set before the Temple. Feels like they made that armor set even more useless than on Bot W (full set should have given you unlimited swim stamina).

I remain annoyed that TotK didn't change how any of the armor worked. I wanted to be able to mix and match armor sets to get different, weirder bonuses. Or at least make sure all the sets have a bonus. The Hylian Armor set could have given a defensive bonus or something.

I like the new armors, but I find myself never using the Ember, Charged, and Frostbite armors.

If they offered weather protection bonuses that would help...

I can't figure out the Frostbite set (only set of that kind I currently have). Does it increase ice attacks strength, attack strength in general but only in cold climates, ice attack strength in cold climates?

It's Cold Weather Attack, so it adds frost damage in cold climates.

Yeah, with those three sets if you're in the right weather (details of the clothes will light up when you are), the last move in a combo attack will trigger an elemental attack. Frostbite: a ring of ice-cold that freezes enemies; Ember: a ring of fire; Charged: a ring of electricity. It looks cool and is fun to do, but isn't very practical, IMO.

I think there's also an attack up bonus? But again, only in the right weather.

I think those sets look amazing and have a good concept, but the execution is lacking.

It feels pointless. A freezing attack that can only work in freezing climates which typically houses ice enemies.

I think they'd work better if, instead, they provided elemental auras that grow stronger with a full set. The auras would periodically pulse with their respective element around Link, becoming more frequent with upgrades, but only triggering in active fights instead of being on all the time.
