My body is still shaking, but it was worth it!I was invited to share my knowledge of React Native with the students at Mendel University in Brno yesterday. After a pinch of theory, we built a working application. 🚀#ReactNative

Overengineering is not always a bad thing. University projects are one of the rare exceptions where overengineering can lead to positive things. Our team has to develop a reservation system. We ended up with a whole gang of ancient beasts! We were saying yes to every tech – "Apollo Federation? Yes, please! tRPC? Oh, yeah! Terraform? No question!" and the list went on.Our implementation got way more complex than the use case demanded, and we are cool with it. This project becomes our playground.In this case, overengineering helped us to get more hands-on with different technologies and try them in a "real" project. So far, this has been my favorite project at Unicorn University.

With Matěj Polák, we organized an STRV React Native Hackathon. The assignment was simple: "Make a game!".And we got them! We saw Pokémon, rockets, presents, and more! It was a great Saturday.
