Live albums are not part of the album rankings. Nevertheless live and compilation albums are also placed in one of the categories and presented on the artists' pages. Some of them have their own entry that corresponds to those of the studio albums, others are presented in boxes together with other albums. It is possible that the live/comp albums that have their own entry are presented where they would fall if they were ranked (though the books do not say anything about that). I marked live/comp albums that have their own entry with two asterisks, those that are merely lumped with others in boxes with one asterisk, so that you can decide for yourself whether you want to consider the former as part of the ranking or not.
The song lists always reference specific recordings of each song (usually the studio album versions). For live songs I always gave the specific album or recording info. I hope I didn't make any mistakes but if anything is unclear or apparently wrong, ask; I'll keep the books for a few days before I return them.
