This month, I regret to say that I will be departing from HADEED, SABIC's Steel making affiliate, after spending more than 3 years as a Mechanical Engineer in this great company. The opportunities, people, and culture in HADEED were nothing but outstanding. I am wholly grateful and proud for spending my early career years amongst such a resilient team of people.Working as a Mechanical Engineer in a Steel Plant, being primarily responsible for 3 German-Made Electric Arc Furnaces along all the sub-assemblies and equipment has shown me the true depths of expertise and potential that can be sought in such diverse and rich area of technical and operational challenges of all disciplines.I will forever look at those years with fondness and clarity as the years that truly shaped my personality and personal & professional development, and i owe many thanks to all my colleagues whom have been patient enough with me and my curiosity along the way.I look forward to see the future endeavours of HADEED in the ever more challenging regional and global steel market, and I am anticipating and wishing ample prosperity and growth for my peers, seniors, and brothers within HADEED and SABIC.Thank you All.

A move that signifies a Big Leap in the Saudi Steel Industry 🚀 the Saudi Public Investment Fund announced today the move to acquire HADEED, KSA's largest steel manufacturing company, along with the acquisition of Rajhi Steel, KSA's second largest steel manufacturing company. But, what does this mean!?...👉 Here's what I think this means: ☑ A Singular national champion of KSA steel manufacturing with +7Mn total production capacity of final steel products, with 30+ mills and factories between Jeddah, Riyadh, and Jubail cities☑ Enhanced investment capabilities and future focus where the newly formed HADEED group has a more empowered mandate on the steel industry, where the company can focus on future steel technologies and closely-nit supply-demand relationship with PIF vision projects☑ Unified operational prowess and brand recognition of products across the kingdom and the regional markets, setting a stronger foothold and presence amongst regional competitors, with optimum quality capability and technical expertise spanning a larger footprint☑ Greater talent attraction and retention where the group resembles the "Best-In-Class" in the region for attracting Saudi talents to the sector, and recruiting world-class steel industry experts to the kingdomBest of luck for PIF, Hadeed, and Al-Rajhi steel for this move! 👏
